With a history that goes all the way back to 1965, Alpina is arguably one of the best known and certainly one of, if not, the oldest existing BMW tuner - while
their relations with the Bavarian manufacturer may even be closer than Brabus' with Mercedes Benz.
Launched in late 2005 in the E90 generation 3 Series, the first BMW Alpina D3 diesel is not first piqued by Alpina and it's certainly not the most powerful, but it brings a melange of power, refinement and good taste in one of the smallest package available - BMW two liter diesel.
Of course, it has improved brakes, sportier suspension, bigger turbo and a new ECU, but the real modifications that make a special car mods are very understated exterior and interior, with a multi-spoke wheels Aplina be the cherry on the cake top.
This model is actually very desirable that for a little under three years it became the highest selling BMW Alpina in history, which says a lot about both the car manufacturers and credentials boutique models.
Here's a short video is structured like the reviews centered around both hands Alpina D3 variant, owned (and last) by Dev Singh Bhamra, from England - a man who could very well branch to review the professional car business.
So, what's it like to live with such a special car on a day to day basis? Well, it seems that the car has brought nothing but joy to Dev, the only major quarrel is with the state of the road that he had to drive to the beautiful 19-inch Alpina wheels.
