Ford Board Member and CEO of Pacific Gas & Electric, Tony Earley, announced that Ford and Chevrolet is developing an electric version of its flagship truck, the Silverado and F150.

According to information from the US Energy Administration, there are 104 thousand plug-in electric vehicles and 70 thousand electric vehicles in circulation in 2013. The number is still very small when compared to 226 million registered vehicles in the land of Uncle Sam.
